Abstract

This study investigates whether the concept of Value for Money (VFM) can be used to measure financial performance of Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta Province. This study used financial reports from D.I Yogyakarta Province in four years between 2001-2004. This study predicts whether the financial performance of D.I Yogyakarta Province are economic, efficient, effective and has raisen from year to year. The result show that the financial performance of D.I Yogyakarta Province are economic and efficient enough, but does not effective.
