Abstract

Agriculture is the main income sector for villagers at Wonorejo, Kedunggalar, Ngawi. The amount of income to meet the family basic needs depends on the success or failure of agricultural products, including the cost of production. Results of situation analysis showed that the high cost of fertilizer made the people concerned, it increased the cost of agricultural production as well as reduced the family income. Therefore, this program was implemented. It was carried out in the area of the Kelompok Tani Arcomulyo and Lestari 1 at Wonorejo, Kedunggalar, Ngawi. It was carried out during 11 months, from January 2015 to November 2015. Implementation Design was divided into: situation analysis and preliminary observations, training of organic fertilizer and eel cultivation with rice straw media, coaching and mentoring the utilization of fertilizers and eel livestock, determining achievement indicator and the problems that arose. The results of this IbM were (1) agricultural innovation in the form of organic fertilizer from rice straw, (2) the decrease of fertilizers consumption and agricultural production cost, (3) the decrease in household consumption costs, and (4) Embryo of independent village based on agriculture and animal husbandry.
