Abstract
A regional work unit is a government unit who prepare and implement the budget in every work units. Generally, the people worked inside it will have a high commitment to their organization. This research has a primary goal to explore if being participated in the preparation of budgeting and being committed to their organization will directly giving an effect to the performance of works. By using the total of 112 questionnaires, all of the people inside of regional work unit in Kulonprogo who responsible in preparation of budgeting asked to be the respondents. For analyzing the data, this research used multiple regression analysis. The results show that the performance of regional work unit influenced by organizational commitment but not influenced by participation of budget setter.
