Abstract
Food is a basic requirement once the essence of human life, and therefore the right to food becomes a very important part of human rights. Currently Indonesia is the world's largest rice importer. If we do not find ways to increase food production, then Indonesia as an independent nation does not have the authority to independently provide food for its citizens. The sustainability of agriculture in the food supply is highly dependent on agriculture HR. But the vast majority of agricultural HR Indonesia is still low, many farmers are elderly and low capacity in the entrepreneurial aspect. If the condition is left to the desire to achieve food sovereignty is certainly far from expectations. The purpose of the study are: (a) determine the condition of food sovereignty in Indonesia (b) determine the condition of the current agricultural HR, and (c) HR management of agricultural to support food sovereignty. Appraisal method uses literature. The results showed that: (i) Indonesia needs to improve the availability of food, (ii), agricultural HR of Indonesia currently has a qualifying low competitiveness and (iii) required the HR management of agriculture with a focus on four main elements that cognition, psychomotor, affective, and intuition. With the agriculture human resource management in the four elements, is expected to drive the agricultural sector, which has implications for the realization of food sovereignt
