Abstract
This classroom action research was aimed at improving motivation, interests, and learning outcomes Civics using contextual learning model Class VIIIF students of State Junior High School 1 Sedayu Bantul 2014/2015 school year. The subjects were Class VIIIF, consisting of 31 students. This research was conducted in three cycles. Data collected through questionnaires, tests, observation and documentation. The research data was analyzed by quantitative descriptive technique. The results showed that by using contextual learning model increased motivation, interest and student learning outcomes. This is indicated by comparison between the prior action and following cycle I, II, and III as follows. Before the action of low student motivation to learn civics (54.9), increased to 67.2 in the first cycle, 75.2 in the second cycle, and 84.3 in the third cycle. For the students' interest before the action amounted to 54.8, after the action increased to 66.0 in the first cycle, the second cycle 73.2, and 87.0 after the third cycle. Also an increase of learning outcomes. This is indicated by an increase in class mastery. Before the action, the students who pass the study of 38.7%, in the first cycle was 61.3%, in cycle II increased to 71.0% and in the third cycle increased to 90.0%.
