Abstract

The digital control is a control system with digital signal processing inside. We can find digital control parameters in many application such as digital control of speed, temperature, position, etc. In this paper, we propose a digital control of plate angle to provide an experimental instrument of control system learning. This project uses a microcontroller, absolute rotary encoder as an angel detector and DC fan to produce wind flowing for moving a plastic plate. The user interface of this project is LabVIEW. The microcontroller will process the error value from the substraction of the set point value and the value of the feedback which is read by an angle sensor. PID method is deployed to minimize the error value and speed up the response system. Implementing this instrument enables it to control the angel of plastic plate and will reach the good performance of the system response such as rise time, steady state error, and overshoot system .
