Abstract

Farmers have become an subject in the issue of climate change as a direct impact on crop production themselves. Knowledge of the relationship of weather and climate on humans, the environment, OPT (Plant Pest Organisms), and plants can not automatically be understood by all farmers. The age and education mostly rice farmers over 50 years as well as elementary school education or equivalent causing the need for the process to understand the impact of climate change. Intensive assistance in the compound or group of farmers in the hamlet of Wareng, Village of Wareng, District of Wonosari, Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta and in IPPHTI (Indonesian Integrated Pest of Management Farmers Association), Indramayu district, West Java are positive impact on members of farmers in the face of climate change impacts in their environment. Various approaches have been implemented mentoring services and academic institutions provide a wide range of experience and knowledge about the adaptation and mitigation of climate change.
