Abstract

This research about conservation efforts of an owl to control pests of mice rice in Banyurejo village, Tempel, sreman, yogtakarta was carried out from May until August 2015. The research was uses method of survey, approach of active participation with the socialization or extension programs and making of Rubuha and perch, making home quarantine and monitoring of occupancy Tyto alba.The resuli of the observation that survey in area of Banyurejo village found the existence of a thriving bird population of an owr who liies in ceiling of the school building, under a column of the bridge and in shoot inu trees. The results of monitoring for the last two months show that 2b percent Rubuha has been used the perches and I0 percent had in habited. conservation efforts of an owl was given good hope in future time to control pests of mice ricefields sustainable and ffictive.
